Sources: Crystal Palace winger Malcolm Ebiowei in late talks to join new club

Crystal Palace winger Malcolm Ebiowei is in talks over a loan move to Belgian side RWD Molenbeek, sources have told Football Insider.

Several Championship sides also keen on him, but the Brussels-based side are leading the chase with just hours remaining until the 11pm deadline on Thursday (1 February).

Ebiowei, 20, is yet to play for Palace’s first team so far this season and has only made five substitute appearances in total since joining from Derby County.

The skilful forward has been named on the bench for several Premier League games without being called upon by manager Roy Hodgson.

Former Arsenal youngster Ebiowei is keen to go out on loan for the second half of the season – and Palace are ready to let him move so that he can get regular first-team football.

The winger joined Palace from Derby in the summer of 2022 and had a spell on loan at Hull City during the second half of the 2022-23 campaign.

He made five starts in 12 total Championship appearances for the Tigers but failed to score or assist.

Ebiowei has been limited to youth football this term, notching one goal and one assist in seven games for Palace’s Under-21 side.

The 20-year-old is under contract at Crystal Palace until June 2027.

Ebiowei, who primarily plays on the right flank but can also lead the line, is capped by England at Under-20 level.
