Sources: Crystal Palace make final Oliver Glasner decision after new sack talks
Crystal Palace have reached a final decision to allow Oliver Glasner to continue to lead the team until the end of the season, sources have told Football Insider.
The Selhurst Park hierarchy have always planned for the Austrian to see out the remainder of his contract, and they have now decided that they will stick with that plan after talks were held over his future last week.
Crystal Palace briefly held genuine fears over a potential relegation in recent weeks, but the board are now happy that those concerns have adequately subsided.
The Eagles are now back up to 13th in the Premier League table, and have a 10-point cushion between themselves and the bottom three, with just 11 games remaining in the season.

Wolves victory seals Oliver Glasner fate
Fabrizio Romano reported on Friday that Crystal Palace chief were engaged in discussions with Glasner over his future after the disappointing 1-1 draw with Zrinjski Mostar in the UEFA Conference League.
That could have let to him departing his role at the South London outfit prematurely, but the talks ultimately came to nothing, and Sunday’s win over Wolves has now underlined that Glasner will be allowed to see out the remainder of his tenure.
Evann Guessand netted a 90th-minute winner to see the Eagles edge past the Premier League’s bottom club, and they have now tasted success in two of their last three league outings.
Those victories have erased any fears within the club of the team being dragged into the relegation battle, with the focus now turning fully towards the chance of progression in Europe.
Palace are set to welcome Mostar for the return leg of their play-off tie on Thursday, knowing that whoever emerges victorious on the night will set up a meeting with either Mainz or Larnaca in the next round.
Glasner could be set for bizarre new role
Glasner’s long term future at Selhurst has been clear for some time, as he made his desire to move on at the end of the season known well in advance of when it wasd officially confirmed.
That is already prompting speculation as to where he could potentially end up next term, and that has seen a hugely surprising link emerge with the Colombian national team.
A recent report from AS in Colombia suggested that several directors within the hierarchy of Los Cafeteros’ football federation are huge admirers of the 51-year-old and would jump at the chance to appoint him.
They have already earmarked him as an ideal candidate to lead them in the next stage of their project after this summer’s World Cup, but they may hold back on making a move for him if they enjoy a good tournament this time around.
It remains to be seen whether that is an opportunity that Glasner would potentially be keen to explore, but there is no doubt that he will have no shortage of potential suitors this summer.
