Sources: Danny Rohl plans to agree multiple Rangers sales after exit confirmed

Danny Rohl is not ruling out late departures from Rangers as he hopes to cash in on a number of fringe players before the transfer window closes.

While the boss is not completely content with his squad and hopes for at least one new arrival, there are also players he is willing to see move on.

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Rohl could cash in on multiple players who are on the fringes of his squad.

Findlay Curtis was allowed to join Kilmarnock on loan after the boss gave the green light, and he may not be the last player on his way out of Ibrox.

The likes of Danilo and Nedim Bajrami could be among the big-name departures after being pushed down the pecking order since the start of the season.

Nedim Bajrami and Danilo could be among Rangers sales

Football Insider revealed on 27 January that Rangers will accept offers for Bajrami should any interested party come in with a serious proposal.

The 26-year-old is among a number of high-profile players on the fringes of Rohl’s squad after what has been a busy mid-season window with three signings so far.

However, he is not the only player who could be on his way out at Ibrox, while the focus remains on keeping key players including Djeidi Gassama in the closing stages.

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “I don’t think Rangers would be willing to let him [Dejeidi Gassama] move on as right now.

“They won’t want to lose any players at this stage of the transfer window.

“They want to maintain their push to try and win the Scottish Premiership title this season and won’t want to lose any big players.

“Danny Rohl will, I think, be open to letting some fringe players leave before next week’s deadline to trim his squad and raise some funds but Gassama is definitely not a fringe player.

“He will have a big role to play for Rangers between now and the end of the season.”

Cameron Archer arrival could force through Rangers sales

With more outgoing deals expected in the coming days, Rangers’ pursuit of Southampton striker Cameron Archer could force some dominoes to fall.

Football Insider revealed on 30 January that Rangers could sell Youssef Chermiti in the closing stages of the window if they bring another striker in.

However, Danilo is now considered the more likely of the pair to be let go after the former Everton forward worked his way back into Rohl’s plans.

Danilo has been on the fringes of the first-team squad this season, and has not started a Scottish Premiership game for Rangers since 3 December.

The arrival of Archer would push him even further down the pecking order, and if a late offer arrives for his services, it would likely be accepted.
