Sources: David McGoldrick to quit Sheffield United
David McGoldrick is set to leave Sheffield United when his contract expires next month, Football Insider understands.
The 34-year-old striker will not be signing a new deal when his current deal at Bramall Lane runs out.
A United source has told Football Insider that McGoldrick is now looking for a new club as he looks to extend his career.

This term, the Republic of Ireland international scored two goals in 19 league appearances for the Blades – who were beaten by Nottingham Forest on penalties in the play-off semi-final.
McGoldrick has been sidelined since the beginning of February after suffering a thigh injury.
The striker had spells at Southampton, Nottingham Forest, and Ipswich Town – returning 77 goals from a total of 337 games in the Championship.
He left the Tractor Boys as a free agent in 2018 following the expiration of his contract.
McGoldrick impressed then-Blades boss Chris Wilder during a one-week trial period, which lead to the forward penning a two-year deal at Bramall Lane.
He made his Premier League bow in 2019 following Sheffield United’s promotion, but could only manage two league goals in 28 outings.
His second season in the top-flight during the 2020-21 campaign produced a better return of eight strikes.
However, his goals could not prevent the Blades’ return to the Championship.

McGoldrick was awarded the club’s Player of the Season and Goal of the Season awards for his valiant efforts.
Rhian Brewster, Billy Sharp, Ollie McBurnie, and Daniel Jebbison are Sheffield United’s other striking options at present.
