Sources: Everton make Neal Maupay available for transfer

Everton are making Neal Maupay available for transfer in the summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The 26-year-old joined the Toffees last summer on a three-year-deal after leaving Brighton but could now move on from Goodison Park as they look at add further attacking options.

Maupay has started just ten Premier League games this season and has only managed to net one goal for the Merseyside club so far.

The forward has been second choice to Dominic Calvert-Lewin since his arrival but has filled in for his teammate in the starting XI due to injury.

Whilst Calvert-Lewin recovers from injury, Sean Dyche has started Demari Gray ahead of Maupay in their last three Premier League games.

However, Dyche has publicly backed the striker on a number of occasions and believes that the goals will come for the Frenchman.

The new boss insisted that Maupay will be given time and patience as he tries to find his form in an Everton side that is not wholly suited to his style.

Dyche acknowledged that it has been difficult for the attacker to forge his way into the side but has been impressed by how hard he works.

However despite the manager’s promise of patience, it is becoming increasingly likely that Maupay will depart the club at the end of the season.

The striker joined Everton for a fee of £15million, three years after a £16m move from Brentford to Brighton.
