Sources: Fulham deal to sign Chelsea star Hudson-Odoi collapses

Chelsea negotiations to sell Callum Hudson-Odoi to neighbours Fulham have collapsed, sources have told Football Insider.

The winger, 22, has decided he wants to leave Stamford Bridge and has been given permission by his club to discuss a move.

But a potential deal to Fulham has fallen through following talks over a fee in the region of £8million.

It once again leaves Hudson-Odoi’s future up in the air approaching the final week of the window.

His value has plummeted now he is in the last year of his contract.

Chelsea previously turned down an offer from Bayern Munich for Callum Hudson-Odoi, rejecting the German side’s attempt to land the winger in a deal worth £70m.

Bayern want Hudson-Odoi to join them on loan for the rest of the season with an option to buy for £70m in the summer of 2021.

Ultimately they were unable to agree on a deal.

The winger did spend time in Germany, joining Bayer Leverkusen on loan last term.

He made 21 appearances across all competitions notching just one goal and offering up one assist.

Hudson-Odoi has featured for Chelsea’s first team 126 times since his progression to the senior side in 2019.

He has netted 16 goals and offered up 22 assists in those outings.

Fulham have made three signings so far this summer with Calvin Bassey joining from Ajax, Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore making the switch from Wolves, the latter joining on a free transfer.
