Sources: James Bree undergoing Southampton medical today after deal agreed
Southampton have agreed a deal to sign Luton Town right-back James Bree, sources have told Football Insider.
The 25-year-old is set to undergo a medical on Thursday before putting pen to paper on a permanent deal costing up to £750,000.
Bree is set to become the Saints’ third signing of the January window following the arrivals of Mislav Orsic and Carlos Alcaraz.

Manager Nathan Jones is a huge fan of Bree and has moved to be reunited with the defender he worked with at Kenilworth Road.
Luton have already moved to bring in a replacement as they negotiate the signing of Cody Drameh on loan from Leeds United.
Born in Wakefield, Bree began his professional career at Barnsley, climbing his way through the academy ranks before breaking through to the senior team in 2014.
In his three seasons at Oakwell, Bree made 50 league appearances for the Tykes.
After impressing in Yorkshire, Aston Villa moved swiftly to snap up Bree for an undisclosed fee in 2017.
Bree spent three seasons at Villa Park but struggled to ever nail down a starting spot at right-back.
He was sent out on loan to Ipswich Town for the second half of the 2018/19 season, where he made 14 league appearances before returning to the Midlands.
Another loan spell followed at newly-promoted Championship side Luton Town the following season, and Bree ended up becoming a key part of the side.

He provided five assists in his 39 league appearances as Luton narrowly avoided relegation back to League One on the final day of the season.
After impressing at Kenilworth Road, Bree’s move was made permanent in 2020.
