
Sources: Jorge Mendes in Wolves manager talks today as offer readied
Wolves will hold talks with Julen Lopetegui on Monday as they step up their managerial search, sources have told Football Insider.
The former Spain and Real Madrid boss, who was sacked by Sevilla last week, is in pole position to take the reins at Molineux.
It is not yet a done deal and further discussions are taking place involving Wolves, Lopetegui and super-agent Jorge Mendes.
Wolves are ready to offer the 56-year-old Spaniard a two-year deal with the option of a third year.
Under-18 boss Steve Davies and Under-21 coach James Collins were in charge for Saturday’s 3-0 defeat at Chelsea and the pair will lead training again in the early part of this week.
