Sources: Celtic close in on two late signings as Jota undergoes medical
Celtic are closing in on three late signings as Filipe Jota undergoes a medical today, Football Insider understands.
The Hoops are working on multiple deals ahead of tomorrow’s transfer cut-off as they look to strengthen Ange Postecoglou’s squad following the Old Firm defeat to Rangers.
A Celtic source has told Football Insider that the deal for Jota, 22, is in the bag after they had a loan-to-buy bid accepted by Benfica yesterday.

The Portugese winger, 22, is set to join on an initial loan that could become permanent for £6.5million at the end of the season.
The Greek striker Georgios Giakoumakis is also undergoing a medical after agreeing a £2.5million move from VVV-Venlo.
Jota is a wide attacker who can play down both flanks and add further penetration to the Postecoglou’s team.
Giakoumakis will strengthen a forward line that is expected to be deprived of star man Odsonne Edouard by tomorrow night.
Celtic are also believed to be working on multiple other deals, the source added, and are confident of three more signings in total by tomorrow’s cut-off.
That would be a huge boost to their Australian manager, who has made it a priority to strengthen in attack, especially due to the uncertainty over Edouard’s future that has cast such a cloud over the last 12 months.
Jota is a Portugal Under-21 cap international who spent last season on loan at Spanish side Valladolid, making 18 La Liga appearances.

He is not in the first-team plans at Benfica and has been given the green light to go out on another loan.
Celtic have looked to give themselves some protection by agreeing a deal in which Jota has to prove that he is deserving of a long-term contract.
In other news, Edouard is tipped to snub Celtic exit and sign double-your-money new deal after big update from France.
