Sources: Lazio submit new bids for Sunderland’s Jack Clarke, Norwich City star Jonathan Rowe and Plymouth’s Morgan Whittaker
Serie A side Lazio have submitted a late-window bid for Norwich City star Jonathan Rowe, sources have told Football Insider.
The Italian club have also made offers for Sunderland star Jack Clarke and Plymouth Argyle hotshot Morgan Whittaker in the last hours.
Lazio are in the market for a goalscoring winger as they vie for success in Serie A and the Champions League in the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign.
The Rome club have now launched a bid for Rowe, 20, just days before Thursday’s (1 February) transfer deadline.
He has notched 13 goals and four assists for Norwich across 31 appearances in all competitions.
The versatile forward also recently made his bow for England’s Under-21 side, scoring on his debut against Serbia’s Under-21s in October.
Rowe is under contract at Carrow Road until June 2025 after signing his last extension two years ago.
The 20-year-old Canaries academy product made his first-team breakthrough last season but has only started scoring regularly in the current campaign.
Sunderland’s Clarke (13 goals) and Plymouth star Whittaker (16 goals) have also hit form in the 2023-24 campaign and are on the shortlist for Lazio, as well as Premier League clubs.

The Italian side sit seventh in Serie A and face a two-legged Champions League Round of 16 tie against Bayern Munich from next month.
Norwich sit ninth in the Championship and are two points adrift of a play-off place.
