Sources: Leeds ready to sell Illan Meslier at £10m discount
Leeds United are willing to listen to offers for goalkeeper Illan Meslier, sources have told Football Insider.
The Whites have informed the 23-year-old that he is free to leave Elland Road this summer if a bid arrives and meets the club’s valuation.
Leeds had previously hoped to secure a £40million-plus fee for Meslier, but his poor form in the final months of the 2022/23 season means that a bid of £30million could now seal a deal.
Football Insider revealed in April that Chelsea have a major interest in Meslier, while Tottenham and Manchester United have also shown interest.
Meslier was a first-team regular for Leeds last season, making 38 appearances across all competitions and keeping five clean sheets.
The Under-21s France international played every minute of Leeds’ first 34 Premier League fixtures but was dropped towards the end of the season after a run of poor form.
The appointment of Sam Allardyce saw his streak of Premier League starts come to an end, with the English manager not starting Meslier in any of his four league games in charge.
Meslier conceded 73 goals throughout the season, contributing to a Leeds side that was relegated to the Championship with the worst defensive record in the division.

Meslier first joined Leeds on loan from Lorient in 2019, and his stay became permanent a year later after impressing in the Championship and dethroning Kiko Casilla as the club’s number one.
He has gone on to make 126 appearances for the Yorkshire side, keeping a total of 30 clean sheets in the process.
