Sources: Leeds United to appoint new manager next week
Leeds United hope to finalise a manager appointment in the next week, sources have told Football Insider.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that club chiefs are looking for a manager experienced in the Premier League – despite the Whites’ recent relegation.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (20 June) that Leeds have ruled out appointing Carlos Corberan as their next manager following a change of plan.

The Whites’ first warmup game is currently scheduled for 12 July against Man United in Norway.
Leeds finished 19th in the Premier League last term and were ultimately relegated to the Championship for the 2023-24 season.
Jesse Marsch and Javi Gracia were both sacked by the club’s hierarchy – while Allardyce could not earn a long-term contract with a four-game stint in the hot seat.
The Yorkshire giants are on course to be under new ownership after American group 49ers Enterprises agreed a full takeover of the Championship club earlier this month.
In buying out Andrea Radrizzani, they have increased their holding in Leeds from 44 per cent to 100 per cent.
Relegation to the second tier has meant interest in some of the Whites’ most highly-rated stars.
Football Insider revealed on Thursday (22 June) that Everton have set their sights on signing Leeds winger Jack Harrison – and are also monitoring Wilfried Gnonto’s situation.

According to reports, last season’s top scorer Rodrigo Moreno has a £3million relegation release clause on his contract – and is already attracting interest in Spain.
