Sources: Liam Manning close to Norwich City sack after ‘massive’ twist
Norwich City have endured a dismal start to the season so far with supporters at Carrow Road beginning to grow unhappy with their situation.
Following a 1-0 defeat against Bristol City on 18 October, the Canaries have plummeted to 20th in the table, with only goal difference keeping them out of the relegation zone.
Since Liam Manning took over in June, Norwich have won just two league games, drawn two and lost six, despite pre-season ambitions of a potential playoff place.
They are now on a six-game unbeaten run and have yet to win a game at home across all competitions this season, adding to growing concerns behind the scenes.
As a result of their dismal start to the season, Manning is now at serious risk of losing his job, with the pressure on his position growing more and more intense.

Norwich City to make Liam Manning
Norwich sacked Johannes Hoff Thorup at the end of a difficult season last time out as they finished 13th, but fears of falling further down the table could force an earlier decision on Manning.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the boss knows he must start winning games to turn around his side’s fortunes, but the clash against Bristol City at Ashton Gate was seen as “massive” for his future.
After another defeat, serious questions are being asked of Manning, who knows failure to turn around their recent form will only end one way.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “Yeah, as we’ve said every week, managers live and die by results, and Manning is no different to anybody.
“Obviously results haven’t been good enough for Liam Manning and Norwich of late.
“It was a real sore one to take just before the international break as well, losing to their bitter rivals Ipswich, just to increase the pressure on Manning.
“People expected Norwich to be better this season after a poor season last year, and they were tipped by many as dark horses for promotion.
“I don’t think anybody at the club would have envisaged them being where they are after 10 games.
“It was a massive game against his old club, Bristol City. After that went wrong for him, it just increases the pressure even more.
“So look, needs victories, he needs to help Norwich back up that table, but again, pressure is building.”
While Manning remains highly regarded at Carrow Road and across the game, as the Norwich boss was also linked with the Leicester job, concerns are now growing stronger.
Championship manager merry-go-round in full swing
Two managers have already lost their jobs in the early stages of the Championship season, with Paulo Pezzolano sacked by Watfrod, and Ruben Selles dismissed by Sheffield United.
Both clubs opted to move quickly in their search for replacements, as Watford brought Javi Gracia back to Vicarage Road, and Chris Wilder returned to Sheffield United.
The theme of going back in for previous managers seems to have grown this season, and Norwich may soon have a decision to make in terms of their own boss.

Jack Wilshere had been a contender for Norwich last season, when he took up an interim role, but was recently appointed as the first-team manager at Luton Town.
The Canaries have so far opted to stick by Manning in the hope that the promising coach will turn things around, but could soon be forced into a decision.
