Sources: Liverpool and Arsenal submit Mason Mount offers
Liverpool and Arsenal have both prepared offers for Mason Mount this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Both Premier League clubs are eager to improve their midfield departments this summer and share an interest in signing the 24-year-old Chelsea star.
Mount has been locked in contract talks with the Blues this season, but the two parties are still unable to agree a new deal with his wage demands a sticking point.
Football Insider sources first revealed in February that Mount was demanding a wage equal to the highest earners at Stamford Bridge.
With his current deal set to expire in 2024, Chelsea could look to sell Mount this summer to avoid losing him for free next year.
While Liverpool and Arsenal are battling for Mount, it is understood that there is also interest from German giants Bayern Munich.
Thomas Tuchel is a huge admirer of the England international and he is urging the Bayern board to enter the race for Mount.
Bayern are financially secure and confident that they can match offers put forward by Arsenal and Liverpool.
Mount has endured an underwhelming season at Stamford Bridge, scoring three goals and assisting six across all competitions.

The Blues are set to miss out on European qualification entirely, with the club currently sat 11th in the Premier League standings.
Mount is unlikely to return to action for Frank Lampard’s side this season after undergoing surgery on an abdomen problem.
