Sources: Liverpool set for £9m payout after summer deal agreed
Liverpool are set to earn a seven-figure fee from their pre-season tour of the United States in the summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The Reds are set to travel to America for the first time since 2019 according to a report from The Athletic.
The Merseyside club have toured Asia for the past two years as they look to grow their commercial portfolio in the continent, but a return to America has been scheduled this summer.
Well-placed sources estimate that the tour will earn Liverpool a payout of £7-£9million.
They are set to be joined in the US by Premier League rivals Manchester United and Arsenal with all three teams set to face each other in friendly matches.
It will be a standalone event not connected to the Summer Series hosted by the Premier League in the United States last summer.
The event is expected to receive a title sponsorship deal which will add to the overall funding distributed to the involved clubs.

Liverpool will also anticipate an increase in commercial sales of Nike merchandise during their tour.
The Reds earn a 30 percent commission from all club merchandise sales thanks to their current agreement with the US-based sports brand.
As revealed by Football Insider, Liverpool have made a breakthrough in their talks with Nike to extend their kit manufacturer deal.
