Bournemouth activate Sinisterra buy option as Leeds United loan move becomes permanent
Leeds United have reached a full agreement with Bournemouth over a permanent move for Luis Sinisterra, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed that the Whites have agreed to a £20million fee to let the Colombia international depart for good.
Well-placed sources have told Football Insider that Sinisterra was keen to make his loan spell to the south coast club permanent after an impressive first half of the season.
Now, they Bournemouth activated the buy option in their loan deal and an official announcement is expected in the next 48 hours.
He is set to be the first of many Leeds loan stars to convert their temporary moves into permanent deals.
Sinisterra joined Andoni Iraola’s side on loan for the season last summer in a deal which saw Cherries forward Jaidon Anthony join Leeds temporarily.
The 24-year-old has featured regularly for Bournemouth in the Premier League, racking up 15 appearances and scoring two goals.
He has most often been utilised from the bench having made just four league starts.
Leeds bought the versatile attacker from Dutch outfit Feyenoord in the summer of 2022 for a reported £21million.
Sinisterra made 26 appearances for the Whites in all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing one assist.

Leeds sit third in the Championship after their win against Bristol City on Friday (2 February), while Bournemouth are 12th in the top flight following back-to-back draws.
The Whites are next in action against Rotherham on Saturday afternoon (10 February), while the Cherries will travel to Fulham.
