Sources: Luton Town make approach to sign Josh Key after Swansea bid rejected
Luton Town have made an approach to sign Exeter City star Josh Key after Swansea City had a bid for him rejected, sources have told Football Insider.
The right-back, 23, is out of contract at Exeter this summer and interest is mounting in luring him by Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
Swansea have had a Key offer rejected and Luton Town have now joined the chase by making contact over a deal.

Key, who was the subject of bids from Sunderland in 2021, is also considering pre-contract offers from multiple sides overseas as he can sign an agreement this month ahead of a summer move.
Born in Torquay, Key joined the Exeter City academy during his childhood and worked his way through the youth setup at St James Park.
After three years in the academy, Key was offered a three-month loan move to non-league side Bideford.
Key completed the move and made 15 appearances for the side, scoring three goals in the process.
His loan was so successful that he drew praise from then-Exeter manager Sean Joyce, who offered Key his first professional contract upon his return.

Key then enjoyed two separate loan moves to Tiverton Town in the next two seasons, before he finally broke into the Exeter first team and became a regular starter in 2020.
Since then, Key has racked up over 100 league appearances for Exeter, including 25 League One appearances this season.
