Sources: Man United have active interest in signing Harry Kane after talks update
Man United have an active interest in signing Harry Kane this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The 29-year-old’s current contract is set to expire in 2024 and Spurs are eager to tie down the England captain to a new deal.
Football Insider revealed on Saturday (24 February) that Tottenham have already opened talks with Kane over a new deal, with talks at an early stage.

Spurs have also opened talks with Eric Dier and are keen to finalise a new deal with the defender so they can turn their full focus to negotiations with Kane.
Man United are looking to sign a new striker in the summer and are keeping tabs on Kane’s situation in North London, while Bayern Munich are also actively monitoring his availability.
Kane was a target of Man City two summers ago, but Tottenham rejected a £100million bid for their talisman striker, and the Premier League champions instead turned their attention to Erling Haaland.
Kane recently broke the record to become Tottenham’s top goalscorer of all time, with his goal in the 1-0 win over City taking his tally to 267, one clear of Jimmy Greaves’ record.
In all competitions, Kane has scored 267 and assisted a further 62 goals in 497 appearances.

He has scored 17 in 23 league matches this season for Antonio Conte’s side as he continues to close in on Alan Shearer’s record of 260 Premier League goals.
Kane has also experienced a prolific international career with England, equalling Wayne Rooney’s scoring record of 53 goals for the Three Lions in just 80 caps.
