Sources: Man United new signing to go straight into starting XI vs Man City
Ruben Amorim is prepared to throw Senne Lammens straight into the Manchester United starting lineup for their game against Manchester City this Sunday (14 September), sources have told Football Insider.
Lammens made the switch to Old Trafford from Royal Antwerp on deadline day, for an initial fee of £18million.
Andre Onana is set to join Trabzonspor on loan, which would leave the new Red Devils signing battling with Altay Bayindir to be first-choice goalkeeper.
Sources say that Amorim will not be afraid to hand Lammens his debut in the derby, with Bayindir failing to impress for Man United so far this season.

Man United see Senne Lammens as their long-term goalkeeper
Over the summer, Man United chose not to pursue a deal for the highly experienced Emiliano Martinez, instead opting to sign Lammens.
One of the reasons they chose the Belgian was his age, 10 years younger than Martinez, and therefore seen as a long-term solution to the Red Devils’ goalkeeping issues.
With Onana out of the picture and Bayindir underwhelming in recent games, the door is open for Lammens to cement himself as the first-choice shot-stopper.
The 23-year-old will hope to impress Amorim in training over the next week, which would give him a great chance of being selected as Man United travel to the Etihad for one of their biggest games of the season.

Man United outcast attracting big interest
Meanwhile, Jadon Sancho is attracting interest from a number of top clubs across Europe following his deadline-day loan from Man United to Aston Villa, sources have told Football Insider.
Sancho has one year remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, and the potential of agreeing a free transfer has reignited the high-profile interest.
However, Football Insider revealed on 5 September that Man United could extend Sancho’s deal using the optional extension clause in his contract.
Amorim‘s side are reluctant to lose a high-value asset on a free transfer despite the interest, and hope his time at Villa will earn them a larger transfer fee next year.
