Sources: Man United to agree new Harry Maguire contract on one condition
Man United and Harry Maguire are yet to make much headway in contract negotiations with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.
Prior to his wondrous performance against Liverpool on 19 October, former United chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Ruben Amorim is pushing Maguire out of Man United.
Amid an uncertain future at Old Trafford, Brown previously told Football Insider that Maguire could be tempted to leave Man United and move to Saudi Arabia if he does not play more regular minutes ahead of the 2026 World Cup next summer.
Man United are in control of Maguire’s future as they decide what is the best course of action for the defender ahead of his contract expiry.

Maguire’s Liverpool winner to bolster chances of signing new Man United contract
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the finalised contract details could be key in ensuring the Englishman wants to stay, if wanted by the Red Devils.
Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Maguire has played himself into a new Man United deal after becoming one of Amorim’s go-to men in recent weeks.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “Well, that winning goal at Anfield hasn’t done any harm at all, has it?
“Obviously a real big moment for Maguire, getting that late goal against Liverpool [19 October] to get them a win at Anfield for such a long time as well.
“As long as he’s still got an important role to play, for Manchester United, I still feel there’s a willingness from all parties to get a new contract done.
“Maguire is very much open to staying at Man United. There’s been talk of reported interest from the Saudi pro league, but Maguire would prefer to stay at Manchester United as long as the terms are right.

“Look, he’s obviously in the final few months of his contract right now and talks are ongoing between United and Maguire’s representatives. I think it’s more likely that he will sign a new deal. It’ll obviously be on new terms as well.
“So I think with the willingness from all parties to get a deal done, you would expect that Maguire will get a new contract with Manchester United and extend his stay at Old Trafford.”
Ruben Amorim makes decision on Casemiro’s future
The Brazilian is another one of the frequently scrutinised Red Devils cohort who is set to leave the club at the end of the season.

Sources told Football Insider that Casemiro is contemplating a move to Saudi Arabia at the end of the campaign with United expected to only offer a new contract with reduced wages.
Considering the lucrative offers that could come from the Middle East, the 33-year-old may very well believe it is time to depart from the Premier League in search of a new financially beneficial opportunity.
The number 18 has been a mainstay in the Portuguese’s midfield this season but the wrong terms offered in a new deal may dissuade him from staying.
