Sources: Man United to announce deal soon after securing ‘agreement in principle’
Man United are set to announce soon that Joe Hugill has agreed a new contract with the club, sources have told Football Insider.
The striker, 19, has made impressive strides since joining the Premier League giants from Sunderland in the summer of 2020.
He has entered the final year of his deal and United have decided to reward him for his progress with new and improved terms.

It is believed that there is an “agreement in principle” between Hugill and the club following a breakthrough in talks.
Hugill is set to sign a new three-year deal that runs until the summer of 2026, and it is expected to be announced soon when the paperwork is complete.
The attacker has yet to make his first-team debut but was added to Erik ten Hag’s pre-season squad for their trip to the United States in the summer and took the opportunity to impress the manager and senior coaches.
He is a regular scorer for the club’s Under-21s and has already banged in 27 goals from 50 matches for United at that level.
In the current campaign, Hugill has netted three goals and supplied an assist from four Premier League 2 matches.
United are believed to have paid around £300,000 to sign the teenager back in 2020 from Sunderland after he had impressed their scouts with his youth-team exploits.

The forward spent the second half of last season on loan with National League side Altrincham.
He made seven appearances and scored one goal in a season that saw them finish 17th in the league.
