Sources: Marti Cifuentes facing Leicester sack ahead of Norwich clash
Marti Cifuentes is at serious risk of being sacked by Leicester City in the near future as a result of their shocking turn of form.
Cifuentes led his side to a draw at home against ten-man Middlesbrough in midweek, after Luke Ayling scored a 96th-minute equaliser to deny them all three points.
That result extended Leicester‘s run to just one win in 10 games, ramping up pressure on the manager’s position with large sections of the crowd calling for his dismissal.
Supporters had initial concerns about the boss, who left QPR to join Leicester in the summer, and there has been little evidence of progress to get the fans on side.
Preparations are now underway to face Norwich City, who have also had a dismal start to the season, and failure to win could cost the manager his job.

Marti Cifuentes must win vs Norwich to avoid Leicester sack
Football Insider revealed on 7 November that Cifuentes could be sacked by Leicester during the international break as a result of the growing pressure.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the boss needs results to turn around quickly to secure his position at the King Power Stadium, with their visit to Norwich now widely seen as must-win for the Foxes.
Norwich are currently 22nd in the table after what has been a shocking start, but are aiming to turn their form around at Carrow Road and pile the pressure on Cifuentes.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “Pressure is growing, no getting away from that, it was a big two points dropped against ten-man Middlesbrough in midweek.
“Pressure is building on Cifuentes, and you’ve obviously got that unwelcome international break, which leaves a lot of managers looking over their shoulders.
“The run of form, it’s not really good enough for a team and a squad like Leicester as well.
“With that squad you’re expecting them to be up there, challenging them for promotion.

“They’ve got struggling Norwich before the international break.
“They really could do with a win in that game, and if they were to fail to win that game, it’s only going to increase the pressure even further on Cifuentes.”
This comes after former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that Cifuentes is in trouble at Leicester and could soon face the threat of being sacked.
Liam Manning also in must-win situation vs Leicester
Cifuentes is not the only manager under pressure heading into the fixture on 8 November, with Liam Manning also desperately in need of a victory.
Football Insider revealed last month that Manning is under pressure at Norwich with the threat of the sack looming after a disastrous start to the Championship season.
The Canaries have won just two of their 14 games so far, drawn three and lost nine, despite initially holding hopes of an outside challenge for the playoff places.

Football Insider revealed on 19 October that Manning is not currently fearing the sack and instead remains confident he can turn things around after their dismal start.
However, their clash with Leicester could prove pivotal for both managers in what is a crucial stage of the season for clubs with ambitious hopes of promotion.
