Sources: Michael Olise in line for £100,000-a-week+ deal after Man City twist
Crystal Palace are planning to hand Man City target Michael Olise a £100,000-a-week+ contract extension to persuade him to stay at the club, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Friday (28 July) that Palace are confident of fending off interest from Man City and Chelsea in the 21-year-old.
Pep Guardiola’s side had identified him as a potential replacement for Riyad Mahrez, who has completed his move to Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal.
It is believed the France Under-21 international has a £35million release clause in his contract at Selhurst Park.
However, Palace are ready to offer Olise a six-figure wage package to remain at the club – with a well-placed source telling Football Insider they hope to keep him for at least one more year.
Such an offer would bring the winger in line with the other best-paid players at the club following the departure of top-earner Wilfried Zaha last month.
It is believed the player is content in south London and values regular first-team football highly at this stage of his development.
Olise reportedly currently earns £45,000-a-week on a deal which runs until June 2026.
The left-footed starlet’s value has skyrocketed since joining Crystal Palace in 2021 for a reported £8million.
He notched two goals and 11 assists in 40 appearances across all competitions last season.

Olise was on the youth books at both Man City and Chelsea before leaving for first-team football at Reading.
Crystal Palace face an away trip to Sheffield United in their first Premier League match of the 2023-24 campaign on 12 August.
