Sources: Norwich City respond to two new offers for Max Aarons

Norwich City have rejected offers from Atalanta and Monza for Max Aarons, sources have told Football Insider.

The right-back, 22, has had assurances from the Championship club he can leave this summer should a suitable bid be submitted.

Serie A duo Atalanta and Monza have tabled loan offers for Aarons and Norwich have knocked them back.

Borussia Monchengladbach, who are managed by former Norwich boss Daniel Farke, have also approached Norwich to register their interest in the England Under-21 international.

The defender remains a key player for the Canaries, starting all four of their Championship games so far this season.

Aarons moved to Norwich from the Luton academy back in 2016.

In 2018 he signed his first senior deal with the club and almost instantly became a regular starter.

He has now made 170 total appearances for the club, scoring seven goals and providing 15 assists.

Aarons has also regularly been linked with moves away from Norwich.

In February 2021, Sky Sports reported Norwich had slapped a £35million asking price on the defender amid interest from Bayern Munich.

He has been a standout player for the Canaries for a number of years, making it into the Championship team of the year on two occasions as well as winning the EFL player of the month award in December 2020.

The defender also has two Championship winner’s medals with Norwich City to his name.
