Sources: Norwich likely to accept offer for West Ham-wanted Gabriel Sara
Norwich will accept a suitable summer offer for West Ham target Gabriel Sara this summer unless they are promoted back to the Premier League, sources have told Football Insider.
This site revealed on Monday (13 March) that the Irons are racing RB Leipzig and Atletico Madrid for the 23-year-old’s signature this summer.
A move to the Premier League is believed to be a tempting prospect for Sara – while the chance to play European football is also a major lure.
The only way relegation-threatened West Ham can qualify for continental football in the 2023-24 season is by winning this season’s Europa Conference League.
David Moyes’ side have regularly sent scouts to Carrow Road to watch Sara this season and have been left seriously impressed by his performances.
The Brazillian has started 21 of a possible 36 Championship games this term but has still notched five goals and four assists for the Canaries.
He is just one of a number of potential midfield targets for West Ham – who could lose Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek in the off-season – but has climbed to the top of their shopping list.
Norwich signed the midfield star from Sao Paulo for a reported initial fee of £11million last year (2022) and want to make a quick profit if they are forced to sell to a bigger club during the off-season.
It is believed that a fee of between £25-30million could satisfy the Canaries if they fail to gain promotion back to the top flight this season.

The Norfolk side are currently two points outside the Championship play-off places with 10 games remaining this season.
West Ham are in danger of relegation to the second tier – and sit outside the bottom three on goal difference only.
