
Sources: Nuno Espirito Santo agrees to be new West Ham manager, his first match revealed
Nuno Espirito Santo has reached a full agreement with West Ham United to be the club’s new manager, sources have told Football Insider.
The Portugese wlll replaced the sacked Graham Potter and take charge of the London club in their upcoming game against Everton on Monday night.
The London Stadium club sit 19th in the top-flight table, having earned just one win from four Premier League games.
Former Nottingham Forest boss Espirito Santo has beaten Slaven Bilic and Gary O’Neil in the race to replace Potter.
He has been given the job after impressing in interviews with the club’s hierarchy and will be appointed once the club have settled some legal hurdles over hiring the manager sacked by Nottingham Forest on 9 September.

Amid the Hammers’ woeful start to the new Premier League season, Potter had been under huge sack pressure.
In their last Premier League game, West Ham were beaten 2-1 by Crystal Palace, which turned out to be the 50-year-old’s last game in the London Stadium dugout.
Meanwhile, Football Insider can exclusively reveal that Espirito Santo will take charge of their upcoming away trip to Everton on Monday, 29 September.

That clash will see the Hammers come up against their former boss David Moyes, who steered Everton to a defeat against Liverpool last time out.

Forest recently sacked Espirito Santo following his disagreement with the club’s hierarchy, who opted to replace him with former Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou.
The 51-year-old steered the City Ground outfit to a European spot just last season, proving that he has the credentials to guide West Ham away from their relegation worries.
Newly promoted Premier League sides Leeds United, Burnley, and Sunderland have all made solid starts to their top-flight seasons, with the Black Cats performing particularly well.
Those developments intensified West Ham’s relegation concerns under Potter.
However, Espirito Santo’s exploits at both Wolves and Forest shows that he has the credentials to turn the East Londoners’ fortunes around swiftly.
The trip to Everton on 29 September hands the Portuguese boss the chance to prove his worth against a side who have suffered two consecutive defeats across all competitions.
However, West Ham’s clash with Arsenal on Saturday, 4 October, will prove to be a tough test.
