Sources: Pivotal updates on Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos staying at Rangers

Rangers have offered new deals to Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos and remain in talks with both players, sources have told Football Insider.

The duo’s current deals expire in the summer and they are still negotiating with the club over potential extensions.

Rangers are keen to keep Kent and Morelos at Ibrox beyond the summer but neither player has made a final decision on whether they’ll stay or leave Glasgow.

Football Insider sources revealed last Saturday (25 February) Rangers are increasingly hopeful of agreeing a new contract with Ryan Kent amid interest from Championship leaders Burnley.

Manager Michael Beale considers Kent a key player at Ibrox and the winger has played in every game since his appointment in December.

The 26-year-old has scored three times and assisted eight in his 37 total appearances this season.

Kent joined Rangers permanently in 2019 from Liverpool after impressing during a loan spell, but there have been multiple rumours linking him with a move back south of the border during his four years at the club.

As for Morelos, the 26-year-old striker is currently spending his sixth season at Ibrox after joining the club in 2017.

He endured a tough start to the 2022/23 campaign after former manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst dropped him from the squad due to attitude and fitness concerns.

But Morelos has worked his way back into the side under Beale and racked up 10 goals and six assists in 34 appearances this season.
