Sources: Pochettino to fast-track three rarely-seen Tottenham rookies into XI

Mauricio Pochettino is planning to fast-track three Tottenham rookies into the team as the season goes on, Football Insider understands.

The Spurs manager will given the green light for the club to listen to offers for six of his senior stars in January although it remains to be seen how many are sold.

A Tottenham source has told Football Insider that Pochettino is looking to integrate teenage trio Oliver Skipp, Troy Parrot and Japhet Tanganga into the XI regardless of winter window activity.

Midfielder Skipp, 19, centre-forward Parrott, 17, and centre-back Tanganga, 20, have each played just once this season, in the League Cup defeat to third-tier Colchester United.

Parrott and Tanganga made their debuts in that match, while Skipp was appearing for the first team for the 15th time, with most of those as a substitute.

Pochettino has high hopes for the trio and believes they are capable of establishing themselves in the first team in the coming seasons.

The Argentine is ready to put more faith in youth after relying almost solely on senior players during what has been a wretched start to the campaign.

He will look to hand the youngsters more game time even if Tottenham are unable to negotiate the sales of Christian Eriksen, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Danny Rose, Serge Aurier and Victor Wanyama in January.

Pochettino recognises how difficult it will be for the club to secure the prices they want for those six at the midway point of the campaign.
