Sources: Portsmouth make move to sign Bournemouth star Christian Saydee
Portsmouth have registered their interest in signing Bournemouth forward Christian Saydee, sources have told Football Insider.
The attacker, 21, spent last season out on loan at Shrewsbury Town, scoring seven goals in 38 appearances for the League One outfit.
Bournemouth are willing to let Saydee move on on a permanent basis this summer as he is well down the pecking order at the Vitality Stadium.
Portsmouth are keeping close tabs on his situation and have been in touch with the Premier League club to express an interest in a summer deal.
Saydee came through the ranks at League One side Reading before switching to Bournemouth’s academy in 2018.
The likes of Daniel Solanke, Jaidon Anthony and Dango Outtara are all well ahead of him in the pecking order at the Vitality Stadium.
Saydee made six appearances for Bournemouth after making his debut in 2021, and he contributed with one goal and on assist.
The youngster also went out on loan to Burton Albion during the 2021-22 campaign where he played in 18 matches and made one goal contribution.

Portsmouth narrowly missed out on a League One playoff spot last season but will be hoping that improvements to their forward line will get them one step further ahead of the next campaign.
Saydee will not be the only potential incoming as Portsmouth are in advanced talks to sign Burnley goalkeeper Will Norris on a free transfer, sources have told Football Insider.
