Sources: Premier League club plans to beat Everton to Jack Grealish deal
Everton are set to face competition from a number of Premier League rivals in their pursuit of Jack Grealish as he prepares to leave Man City again.
Grealish has seen his Everton loan spell cut short by a foot injury which has ruled him out until the end of the season, but plans have accelerated over his future.
A number of the Toffees’ Premier League rivals are believed to have joined the race for his signature after being impressed by his performances this season.
However, as I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Everton remain the clear favourites to land the 30-year-old on fresh terms.
Grealish has enjoyed his spell at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, while David Moyes is keen to extend his stay given the influence he has had on the starting XI.
Everton backed to beat rivals to Jack Grealish deal
Football Insider revealed on 13 February that Everton are working to sign Grealish on a permanent deal which could be worth a cut-price £20million.
A renewed loan deal also remains on the table given the finances involved including wages on any permanent deal, which Everton may be unable to afford.
Premier League rivals have been placed on alert as a result of that potential availability, but could miss out regardless of their growing interest.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “I’m sure there’s other Premier League clubs who will be monitoring his situation at City as well.
“As I said he’s got back to his best form during that loan spell at Everton as well so there’ll be other clubs who will be keeping tabs on his long-term situation as well.
“Not just in the Premier League, but in Europe because he has impressed with Everton.
“I think you probably have to say that Everton are in pole position to sign Grealish if he does end up leaving Man City.
“The positive news for Everton here is that Grealish is very much open for a return to Everton.

“He’s really enjoyed his time at the club, which has obviously been cut short by this injury which was a big blow to him and a big blow for Everton as well.
“He has performed well for Everton, six assists and two goals in 20 Premier League appearances, he’s really enjoying working under David Moyes.”

How does Grealish feel about staying at Everton?
Despite interest from a number of Premier League rivals and clubs in Europe, Grealish is believed to be keen to stay at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
Football Insider exclusively revealed on 9 December that Grealish “only has eyes for Everton” when considering his future away from Man City.
Pep Guardiola’s side have closed the door on any potential return, and having enjoyed his loan spell this season, the England international is keen to continue.

After having struggled for regular game time or major impact, Grealish has enjoyed being the main man at Everton and the role he plays in the side.
Sources say he is “loving life” on Merseyside, and despite having suffered a season-ending injury, there is a feeling his time at Everton is not over just yet.
