Sources: Rangers hopeful of agreeing Ryan Kent deal after offer submitted
Rangers are increasingly hopeful of agreeing a new contract with Ryan Kent, sources have told Football Insider.
The winger, 26, will be a free agent in the summer and has fended off attempts up to now from the Glasgow giants to secure him to an extension.
Football Insider broke the news earlier this month that Championship leaders Burnley have showed the strongest interest in Kent as they eye up a deal ahead of their likely Premier League return.

But the contract offer from Rangers is currently the best on the table for the Liverpool academy product, and that has given his employers growing hope of keeping him.
At various times it has appeared more likely than not that Kent would end his five-year association with the Glasgow club this summer.
Renewal talks between Rangers and Kent have been slow, and have threatened to ground to a halt at various stages.
The player has been keen to test the water from down south in particular, with a move to the Premier League one he has been considering with his contract expiring in the summer.
Vincent Kompany’s Burnley have been in touch about a potential deal as they plan ahead for what appears a certain return to top-flight football next term.
But it is believed that positivity around a new deal at Ibrox is growing after the latest round of contract talks between Kent and the club.
There is a feeling growing that Kent will stay in Glasgow, although it is understood that reports of wage demands of £50,000-£60,000-a-week are wide of the mark and far too high.
Kent shares a strong relationship with current Rangers manager Michael Beale after previously thriving under him during his spell as assistant manager at Ibrox.

He moved north of the border from Liverpool in 2018 – initially on a one-year loan before the move was made permanent for £7million a year later.
Kent, who is regarded as Rangers’ prize asset as well as their outstanding player, has scored three goals and supplied eight assists from 36 matches in all competitions this season.
In other news, Rangers agree six deals in astonishing spree.
