Sources: Rangers offer for Liverpool starlet rejected
Rangers have had an offer for Liverpool left-back Owen Beck rejected, sources have told Football Insider.
It is believed that the Gers made contact with the Reds to try and get the 21-year-old in on loan for the remainder of the season.
However, their offer was turned down by Jurgen Klopp’s side owing to Liverpool’s lack of depth at left-back, primarily due to the long-term injuries suffered by Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas.

The senior duo are not expected to make a playing return until the end of January after both suffering serious shoulder injuries.
Joe Gomez has deputised for Robertson and Tsimikas during their absences, and has performed admirably during the last three weeks in what is an unfamiliar role.
Beck was recalled from his loan at Dundee this month after a successful spell where he notched two goals and two assists across 17 league starts.
Rangers remain in the market for a left-back in January with Ridvan Yilmaz expected to depart.
As reported by Football Insider (10 January), Yilmaz is in talks to leave the club with Serie A side Verona making progress on a move.
Beck was one of three Liverpool stars who had loan spells in Scotland cut short this month, with Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams returning from Celtic and Aberdeen respectively.
Klopp praised the Wales youth international for his spell with the Dee after he was recalled, noting that he’d taken “big steps”.
While defensive cover remains key for Clement, the club are also actively pursuing further reinforcements in attack.

Sources have told Football Insider (5 January) that they are working on signing a second forward in the January transfer window following the landmark coup of Fabio Silva from Wolves.
Rangers sit second in the league during the winter break and their next competitive game is against Dumbarton in the Scottish Cup on 20 January.
