Sources: Rangers set sights on multiple striker signings as deal agreed
Rangers have set their sights on signing multiple strikers in the summer window, sources have told Football Insider.
The Gers are looking to bolster their front line ahead of next season that could see multiple forward additions joining Ibrox in the summer.
The Light Blues have been dealt a major blow in their efforts to sign one of their targets DAC striker Nikola Krstovic who penned a new deal with his current club on Tuesday (14 March) that runs until 2027.
Michael Beale’s side have watched the 22-year-old on several occasions and have kept track of him over the last 18 months.
There was no approach made by the club in January as DAC made it clear to all who were interested he was not for sale and he has now committed his long term future to the club.
Last month (17 February), Football Insider revealed that the Gers have a genuine interest in Bordeaux striker Josh Maja, who is out of contract at the end of the season.
The 24-year-old remains on the Glasgow club’s radar and is a top target as they prepare to bring in multiple new signings in the summer.
Alfredo Morelos’ future is still in doubt, despite being offered a new deal at Ibrox and could leave for free when his contract expires at the end of the season.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a move to La Liga side Sevilla but Football Insider revealed last week that he has not agreed a deal with the Spanish club.
