Sources: Rangers star Ryan Kent wants to sign for English club after offer tabled
Ryan Kent would prefer a move to England if he leaves Rangers this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
Kent has received offers from soon to be promoted Burnley and Turkish side Fenerbahce ahead of his Ibrox contract expiring at the end of the season.
Whilst it is believed the 26-year-old would prefer a move to England, Fenerbahce are hopeful they can beat Vincent Kompany’s side to his signature this summer.
On Wednesday (3 May), Football Insider revealed that the Turkish side have offered the winger a four-year deal but the wages offered in Burnley’s proposal are believed to be higher.
Kompany’s side have been in talks with Kent since the January window ahead of his Rangers deal expiring this summer.
Although Michael Beale’s side had been hopeful of agreeing a new contract with the winger earlier this year amid interest from Burnley, it is increasingly likely he will quit this summer.
As quoted by the Sun (30 April), following the 1-0 Scottish Cup semi-final defeat to Celtic, Beale said Kent has “possibly” played his last game at Hampden.

The former Liverpool man played just 45 minutes in the loss to their Glasgow rivals at the national stadium after returning to the starting lineup from an injury that kept him out for the side’s previous two Premiership games.
This season Kent has made 44 appearances for the Light Blues and has scored three goals and provided ten assists, all of which have come in league matches.
