Sources: Sheffield United open talks to sign Brighton forward Reda Khadra
Sheffield United are in talks to sign Brighton attacker Reda Khadra, sources have told Football Insider.
A number of clubs have expressed an interest in Khadra, 21, during this summer’s transfer window following his impressive spell on loan at Blackburn Rovers last term.
The German scored four goals and provided two assists in 28 appearances for Blackburn last season.

A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Sheffield United are leading the chase for Khadra with Blades boss Paul Heckingbottom seeing him as a key addition to his squad for next season as the versatile performer can play on the wing, up front, or at wing-back.
Heckingbottom has stuck with the 3-5-2 formation that Chris Wilder installed at Bramhall Lane and Khadra would be able to slot into a number of positions.
He only has a year left to run on his contract at Brighton & Hove Albion contract but has only played four minutes of football under Graham Potter.
The Seagulls signed him from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2020 before he joined Rovers on loan a year later.
The Germany youth international impressed in both games against Sheffield United while at Blackburn last season, scoring in his side’s 3-1 win at Ewood Park.

Sheffield United missed out on their top transfer target this summer when Tom Lawrence signed for Rangers as a free agent after leaving Derby County.
Ciaran Clark became their third signing of the window on Wednesday (13 July) when he completed a loan move from Newcastle United after Tommy Doyle and Anel Ahmedhodžić.
In other news, a European club have submitted a bid for a Sheffield United 25-year-old.
