Sources: Sinani undergoing Huddersfield Town medical after move from Norwich City agreed

Norwich City striker Danel Sinani is undergoing a medical at Huddersfield Town, Football Insider has learned.

This site revealed yesterday (26 July) Huddersfield had opened talks over with the Premier League new boys over a move.

A recruitment source has now told Football Insider the 24-year-old is putting the finishing touches to a loan move after being given the green light by the Canaries.

Sinnai is yet to make his senior bow for Norwich and a move to Yorkshire will give him his first taste of English football.

With three years left to run on his contract, they will be hoping he can return ready to make an impact.

However, after promotion to the Premier League, it is unlikely he would make a breakthrough next term.

He moved to the Canaries from Luxembourgish outfit F91 Dudelange last April and was loaned to Belgian club Waasland-Beveren for the season.

Waasland-Beveren suffered relegation from the Belgian First Division A as Sinnai scored four times and provided one assist in 20 league games.

The Luxembourg international is now set to become Huddersfield’s seventh summer signing.

While he can operate as a striker, it is likely he will offer competition in the wide areas for Carlos Corberan.

Town finished last season in 20th-place in the Championship, just six points above the relegation zone.

They have also re-signed Jordan Rhodes from Sheffield Wednesday in an attempt to add more goals.
