Sources: Six Rangers stars set for sit-down talks with club this month

Six Rangers stars are all set to hold sit-down talks with the club this month to decide their future at Ibrox, sources have told Football Insider.

Steven Davis, Ryan Jack, Scott Arfield, Filip Helander, Allan Mcgregor, and Kieran Wright are all out of contract at the end of the season and will discuss if they will be staying with the club hierarchy.

Jack has already been linked with a move away from Glasgow, with Football Insider revealing (1 March) that Bundesliga clubs have registered interest in signing the midfielder this summer.

Rangers

Gers boss Michael Beale will likely have the final say on whether or not new deals are offered over the next month, as he begins his preparations for the summer transfer window.

McGregor has been a crucial cog in the Rangers first team this season, keeping seven clean sheets in his 16 Premiership appearances in 2022-23.

But at 41 years old, he is in the twilight years of his career and Rangers have been identifying potential goalkeeper targets.

Davis, 38, is also nearing the end of his career but brings valuable experience to the squad having played in 360 matches for Rangers across his two stints at the club.

He has won four league titles in Glasgow and was inducted into the Rangers Hall of Fame in 2023, but he’s fallen down Beale’s pecking order this season having made just eight league appearances.

Arfield is another veteran midfielder who has fallen out of favour under Beale this season.

Rangers

Despite making 30 appearances across all competitions this season, Arfield has not made an appearance in six of Rangers’ last eight league matches.

Helander has been a long-term absentee for Rangers after struggling with knee injuries, while Wright is yet to make his senior debut for Rangers having spent the last six years gaining experience via loan spells.
