Sources: Southampton agree terms with Nathan Jones as start date revealed
Southampton are confident of appointing Luton Town boss Nathan Jones as their new manager in the next 48 hours, sources have told Football Insider.
The Saints are in advanced talks with the Welshman following the sacking of Ralph Hasenhuttl earlier on Monday.
Southampton have turned their attention to completing a deal for Jones and he is now expected to be in the dugout for Saturday’s Premier League clash against Liverpool.

The top-flight club have asked Luton for permission to speak to the 49-year-old after their Championship match against Stoke City on Tuesday.
Contract terms have been agreed with Jones and Southampton have already the compensation payment they will pay to the Bedfordshire outfit.
Luton have already begun the process of finding a replacement for Jones.
The former Brighton & Hove Albion player is in his second spell in charge of the Hatters after leaving for Stoke in 2019 before returning a year later.
He guided Luton to the Championship play-offs last season before they were beaten by Huddersfield Town in the semi-finals.
Luton are eighth in the table this season and are on a run of just one defeat in their last 11 games.
Southampton decided to sack Hassenhutl after almost four years in charge following their 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United on Sunday (6 November).

The 55-year-old ended his tenure with a 34.7 per cent win rate across all competitions but he also oversaw two 9-0 defeats in the Premier League.
The Saints go into the game against Liverpool next weekend third from bottom, a point away from safety.
In other news, Liverpool are in advanced talks to agree a landmark deal.
