Sources: Summerville ‘happy’ at Leeds United after Aston Villa reveal

Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville is in no rush to move on from Elland Road this month, sources have told Football Insider.

Football Insider revealed on Friday (5 January) that both Aston Villa and Brighton are admirers of the 22-year-old amid huge interest in his services across Europe.

The high-flying Premier League duo have made Summerville a long-term target.

However, it is believed Leeds are not willing to consider parting with the Netherlands Under-21 international this month – regardless of any offer they may receive.

The winger has been the key man for Daniel Farke’s side so far in the 2023-24 campaign as they target an immediate Premier League return.

A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Summerville remains “very happy” at Elland Road despite the recent relegation to the Championship.

It is believed he is laser-focused on restoring Leeds to the top-flight at the first time of asking.

However, if the Whites were to miss out on promotion – Summerville could be open to a potential Premier League return or European move with a host of sides ready to swoop later this year.

He has notched 12 goals and six assists in 24 appearances across all competitions so far this term.

The left-footed star is the top scorer for Daniel Farke’s side, who sit fourth in the Championship and are seven points adrift of an automatic promotion place.

Summerville, who joined the Whites from Feyenoord’s youth setup in 2020, is under contract at Elland Road until June 2026 after penning a contract extension in August 2022.
