The 20-year-old has featured in all but one of Kings Lynn’s game this season as they languish at the wrong end of the National League.
The Linnets were promoted as champions of the National League North last season but are now facing the prospect of an immediate return.
They have not won in a month and are now five points adrift of safety.
Carey spent seven years in Norwich’s academy before joining Kings Lynn via a stint with Wroxham.
He was released by the Canaries at the age of 16 and had unsuccessful trials with Cambridge United and Oxford United.
The versatile midfielder came to the attention of Kings Lynn after being coached by ex-Norwich star Ryan Jarvis.
Jarvis played a key role in the Linnets’ rise to the fifth tier.
Both Swansea City and Bournemouth are hoping to earn promotion back to the Premier League this season.
The Swans are six points behind the automatic promotion places with a game in hand.
Bournemouth are three points off the play-off position and also have a game in hand over the sides around them.
