Sources: Tottenham door opens as Lloyd Kelly rejects multiple contract offers

Tottenham target Lloyd Kelly has rejected several offers of a new contract at Bournemouth, sources have told Football Insider.

Kelly, 25, can now sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign sides ahead of a free transfer switch later this year.

It is believed AC Milan, Juventus and several clubs in Germany’s Bundesliga are keen to land Kelly in 2024.

Nevertheless, Bournemouth would love to keep the defender on the south coast but are aware he is now in a strong position.

The Cherries received no notification of concrete interest in the January window after putting a significant price tag on his head.

Tottenham are long-term admirers of Kelly and saw a £20million bid for his services rejected late in last summer’s (2023) transfer window.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have since signed Radu Dragusin from Genoa but it is believed they remain keen on the former Bristol City man.

Kelly has made 14 appearances across all competitions this season with injury limiting his involvement for Andoni Iraola’s side.

The 25-year-old has even worn the captain’s armband for Bournemouth in Premier League fixtures this term.

He has racked up 130 appearances in total for the Cherries since joining in 2019, scoring three and assisting seven.
