Sources: Tottenham have Hakim Ziyech interest as price slashed by £18m

Tottenham have registered an interest in signing Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

The 30-year-old has been pushed down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge this season and could look to leave to secure more game time.

Football Insider sources revealed on Friday (7 April) that Paris Saint-Germain are set to rekindle their interest in signing Ziyech this summer.

The French giants attempted to sign Ziyech on loan in January but the move collapsed late on.

PSG will push again for Ziyech at the end of the season, but there is also interest in the Premier League from Tottenham, West Ham and Fulham.

It is understood that Chelsea would accept bids of around £20million for Ziyech this summer – an £18million drop on the initial £38million fee they paid for the Moroccan international when signing him from Ajax in 2020.

Ziyech has not made an appearance for the Blues since February, with Graham Potter and Frank Lampard both leaving him out of their starting lineups.

Ziyech has even been absent from five of Chelsea’s last eight Premier League matchday squads, showing just how far down the pecking order he has been pushed by new signings at Stamford Bridge.

With just 844 minutes of action across all competitions this season, Ziyech is keen to move on and secure more minutes.

It is understood that a move to PSG is his preferred option, but that Tottenham are the most likely Premier League team to secure his signature should a move to France fall through again.
