Sources: Tottenham line up two new signings as they finalise another deal

Tottenham are confident of agreeing two more signings this month, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed they are closing in on Club Brugge wonderkid Antonio Nusa, with sources telling Football Insider on Saturday (20 January) that they are in pole position to sign the attacker although there remains some work to do to get the deal over the finish line.

Tottenham are in talks over agreeing a £25million deal for the 18-year-old, who would be loaned back to the Belgian side for the rest of the season.

Spurs also remain in discussions to sign a new midfielder and are working hard to complete a deal before the window shuts on 1 February.

The club have prioritised recruiting a central midfielder this month after the permanent addition of Radu Dragusin from Genoa and the loan signing of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig.

They have held talks for a sensational move for Conor Gallagher, but as revealed by Football Insider (19 January), negotiations have collapsed as Chelsea want to keep him for the rest of the season.

Ange Postecoglou’s side also had Man City midfielder Kalvin Phillips high on their target list, but sources told Football Insider (23 January) that West Ham United are now set to agree a deal for him in the next 48 hours.

However, Tottenham are expected to continue their efforts for a new central midfielder and, as revealed by Football Insider (21 January), plan on letting go of several squad players before making a signing late in the window.
