Sources: Tottenham offer contract to Amo-Ameyaw after four-goal masterclass against Arsenal
Tottenham have offered a scholarship contract to schoolboy sensation Samuel Amo-Ameyaw, Football Insider can exclusively reveal.
The England Under-15 international served notice of his huge promise with four goals for Spurs in Wednesday’s 9-0 thrashing of Arsenal in the Premier League Under-17s Cup.
A Tottenham source has told Football Insider the club have moved to tie down Amo-Ameyaw to a scholarship that would see him part of next year’s Academy intake.
The London giants typically offer scholarships around February or March, with the deals then starting on 1 June.
But Tottenham are keen to secure the future of Amo-Ameyaw with a particularly early offer.
The 15-year-old is held in high regard at the club’s Hotspur Way headquarters and has already featured in the Under-18s Premier League.
There is huge competition among elite clubs for the top youth talent and Spurs recognise a player of Amo-Ameyaw’s talent could be prised away by a rival.
It is not just scouts from top Premier League clubs who attend age-group matches in England but they are also flooded by Bundesliga talent-spotters eager to find the next Jadon Sancho.
Amo-Ameyaw is a versatile attacker who can play anywhere across the front three.

He made his debut in the Under-18s Premier League on the right flank but can also operate down the middle and out left.
Tottenham are hoping Amo-Ameyaw could follow in the footsteps of the likes of Dane Scarlett, who only turned 17 in March but has already made five first-team appearances.
