Sources: Tottenham star Harry Kane to snub giants offer as plan revealed
Tottenham star Harry Kane has no intention of quitting for a European giant this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The 29-year-old is into the final 18 months of his Spurs contract and has been linked with moves to Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
However, Kane is focused on beating Alan Shearer’s Premier League scoring record – ruling out a move overseas for now.
It is expected that he will stay at Tottenham past this summer, or complete a sensational move to a Premier League rival – with Man United reportedly interested.
Spurs are keen to tie Kane to a mega-money new contract which will keep him at his boyhood club for the remainder of his career.
The Lilywhites are yet to reach an agreement with the England captain but are hopeful a deal can be struck.
Kane reached the milestone of 200 Premier League strikes last week (5 February) as his first-half goal gave Tottenham all three points against Man City.
He also became Spurs’ leading all-time scorer – passing Jimmy Greaves’ total of 267.
The striker will now focus his attention on beating Shearer’s all-time Premier League record of 260 goals as Kane looks to cement his place in English football folklore.
Despite his prolific record, Kane is yet to lift a trophy with Tottenham since making his first-team debut in 2011.
He pushed for a move to Man City in 2020 but Pep Guardiola’s side were eventually unwilling to meet Spurs’ asking price.

Tottenham remain in the fight for Champions League qualification this season and are just a point adrift of fourth-place Newcastle having played a game more.
Antonio Conte’s side face a two-legged tie against AC Milan this month – with a place in the quarter-final of Europe’s premier club competition at stake.
