Sources: Watford set to sack Rob Edwards
Rob Edwards is on the brink of being sacked as Watford manager, sources have told Football Insider.
The 39-year-old was only appointed in May and has overseen just 11 matches during his short spell at the club.
But Watford’s notorious owners are ready to dismiss Edwards less than two months into the league campaign.

It is believed Gino Pozzo and family have made up their minds to dismiss Edwards and they are already assessing the market for a replacement.
The new manager will be the Pozzo family’s sixth permanent appointment since August 2020.
Edwards agreed to take over at Vicarage Road in the summer after guiding Forest Green Rovers to promotion to League One.
The 39-year-old was handed a two-year deal as the club looked to put a long-term plan in place but he has endured a difficult start after winning just three of his opening 10 Championship games in charge.
The Hornets are currently on a run of just one win in their last eight games across all competitions and sit 10th in the Championship table.
He lost key players like Emannuel Dennis and Ben Foster over the summer but brought in the likes of Keinan Daivs, Kortney Hause and Hamza Choudhury on loan.

Watford could have a new man in place before their next Championship game with Stoke City on Sunday (2 October).
If they beat Stoke at the Bet365 Stadium they could enter the play-off positions despite their poor start.
In other news, Liverpool have set their sights on signing a 20-yr-old who has taken the Premier League by storm.
