Sources: West Ham make decision on signing Alex Kral for £17m

West Ham are planning to let Alex Kral go at the end of the season, Football Insider understands.

The Czech Republic international, 23, has struggled to make an impact signing on a loan-to-buy deal for £17million last summer.

A West Ham source has told Football Insider that David Moyes has made up his mind not to look to convert Kral’s loan into a permanent deal.

The Irons have an obligation to do so only if Kral makes a set number of appearances and starts.

It is believed he is not close to reaching the mark that would trigger a full-time transfer.

The 29-cap international has made just three starts in six appearances across all competitions since joining from Spartak Moscow.

His only Premier League runout came as a last-minute substitute in the 4-1 win over Watford in December.

However, he has been included in all but three matchday squads in the league.

Declan Rice and Tomas Soucek have been Moyes’ first-choice central midfield pairing.

The Scottish manager also has Mark Noble, Manuel Lanzini, Nikola Vlasic and Pablo Fornals at his disposal.

He has decided not to pursue a permanent move for Kral and will let him return to Spartak this summer.

Moyes will also lose Noble at the end of the season, with the 34-year-old set to hang up his boots.

West Ham

The homegrown hero has played 16 times across all competitions this season, with two goals under his belt.

He has made a total of 543 appearances for the Irons, scoring 62 times and contributing 61 assists.

In other news, a pundit has claimed this may be real reason Moyes pointed the finger at West Ham star.
