Sources: West Ham set sights on Eddie Nketiah after £40m bid update
Arsenal could part with reported West Ham target Eddie Nketiah for a fee of around £40million, sources have told Football Insider.
The 24-year-old has been widely linked with the Irons, Brentford and Crystal Palace – with all three sides in the market for striking reinforcements in 2024.
Football Insider revealed on Friday (22 December) that Arsenal are preparing to part with Nketiah next year.

The Gunners are aware they will have to sell players to do big deals of their own and the newly-minted England international has been identified as a saleable asset for Mikel Arteta’s side.
It is believed Nketiah is likely to remain at the club until the end of the 2023-24 campaign – but a well-placed source has told Football Insider that a January exit can’t be ruled out if Arsenal are presented with the right deal.
Football Insider revealed on 15 December that a new striker is the top priority for West Ham as the January transfer window approaches.
The academy product has extensive experience in the first-team and is a home-grown player – and the Gunners are ready to put a price tag of around £40million on his head.
However, it is believed a good showing in the second half of the season with Arsenal chasing the Premier League title could only serve to inflate that valuation.
Nketiah is currently playing second fiddle to Gabriel Jesus at Arsenal after the Brazil international’s return from an early-season hamstring injury.
The 24-year-old has made 23 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign, notching six goals and four assists.

He has hit 38 senior goals since making his first-team debut in September 2017.
Nketiah’s Arsenal contract is set to run until June 2027 after he penned a new agreement last term.
