Sources: West Ham wait for Man City decision on Taylor Harwood-Bellis
Premier League clubs including West Ham are ready to swoop for centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis if Man City decide to sell him this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
The 21-year-old impressed on loan at Burnley during the 2022-23 campaign – and the Irons have joined them in the pursuit of a permanent deal ahead of the summer transfer window.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (15 May) that Newcastle and Fulham are also among the sides ready to swoop for Harwood-Bellis in the off-season.
It is believed Man City are still weighing up the youngster’s future with the 2022-23 season yet to reach a conclusion.
However, Harwood-Bellis has just one year remaining on his contract at the Etihad Stadium – meaning the Citizens could be forced to sell if he is not willing to extend his stay.
The England Under-21 international starred on loan at Burnley as they were promoted back to the Premier League as champions this term.
A well-placed Clarets source has told Football Insider that Vincent Kompany’s side will be well in the hunt for his signature if the defender becomes available – despite competition from established top-flight outfits like Newcastle and West Ham.
It is believed Kompany has built a good understanding with the centre-back sensation following the youngster’s loan spells under the Belgian at Anderlecht and Turf Moor.
He made 35 appearances as a regular starter across all competitions this season, notching one goal and two assists.
Harwood-Bellis has spent much of his senior career out on loan, playing 19 times for Anderlecht last term – and also racking up 73 Championship appearances in spells at Burnley, Stoke and Blackburn.
The Stockport-born defender has made just eight senior appearances for Man City.

West Ham are in the market for a new centre-back signing after losing experienced star Craig Dawson to Wolves in the January window.
Long-serving defender Angelo Ogbonna, 34, is also out of contract next month.
