Sources: West Ham working on striker signing after confirmed Niclas Fullkrug exit news
West Ham could be set to sell the misfiring Niclas Fullkrug in January as Bundesliga clubs line up for him.
Since arriving to the Hammers in August 2024, it has been an extremely disappointing spell for the Germany international.
Sources told Football Insider that West Ham will seriously consider offers for Fullkrug, especially considering he has only scored three goals during his time in England.
Moreover, former Man United senior scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that West Ham will not stand in the way of Fullkrug’s exit, emphasising how frustrated the club are with him.

Niclas Fullkrug ‘looking at options’ with Germany return looking most plausible
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, the Irons are keen for the faltering forward to be taken off their hands and his agent agrees with that sentiment.
The 32-year-old has been unable to kickstart his Hammers career ever since he arrived last season and has now been pushed down the pecking order by Callum Wilson and even young Callum Marshall.
Speaking on the Inside Track podcast, I explained: “If Fullkrug does end up leaving West Ham, as his agent said, they are looking at options because the move just hasn’t worked out for the Germany international.
“There is reported interest from a few Bundesliga clubs in Fullkrug, so maybe it could suit all parties.

“If there is a party interested in the West Ham striker and Fullkrug returns to his native Germany in January, it would leave West Ham very short of attacking options.
“They’ve only got Callum Wilson and the youngster Callum Marshall as recognised strikers in the team as well.
“So Nuno won’t want to go into the second half of season with just two strikers to call upon, especially with Callum Wilson’s injury record as well.”
Ivan Toney dream for West Ham as striker replacement seemingly out of reach
If the number 11 was to leave in January, the Hammers would be keen to bring in a replacement up front in their fight for survival.

Sources told Football Insider that Tottenham, Everton and West Ham all remain interested in signing Ivan Toney.
However, the major stumbling block is the Al-Ahli striker’s soaring wages, a factor that made a move to Saudi Arabia so lucrative in the first place.
Nuno Espirito Santo will likely have to give up the chase of the Englishman and pursue other forward options in January.
